Without getting into any negativity or positivity behind the sudden demise of Sushant Singh Rajput, we must leave him at peace wherever he is and appreciate his contribution to the Indian entertainment world and look at the contribution he made to the Bollywood film scenario.
His body of work shows that he was destined to reach unimaginable success on the big screen. From television to the silver screen, his entry into the industry proved him a star. Sushant entered show business through Ekta Kapoor’s TV show Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil. He played the role of Preet Singh Juneja, stepbrother of protagonist Prem Juneja, who died in just a few episodes. Though the actor had a small part, he made his appearance noticeable.

Next came his film Shuddh Desi Romance—a film raising questions on finding oneself in a crazy love-ship. Sushant’s next film was Shuddh Desi Romance, exploring themes of love and self-discovery. His last film, Chhichhore, in 2019 was the second of his films that became a part of the 200 crore club. Sushant Singh Rajput, who played the immensely lovable Anni, shone in his role as the gawky, unsure college student who grows up to be a doting father to a troubled teenage son. He could not relate his own life journey to the character he played so brilliantly. Yet the fans will remember him as Anni forever.
