Bachchan’s film career. Today we talk about Amitabh Bachchan’s film
Bansi Birju was released in 1972.
This is a love story between Bansi and Birju essayed by the Bachchan
couple, and it was one of their first films together on screen. Film was
directed by Prakash Verma. The film also had Ramesh Deol, Yunus Parves
and K.N. K.N.Singh .

Bansi Birju is a dancer and prostitute. Once Birju a simpleton from a
village. One night Bansi runs away from the brothel house to save
herself and bumps into Birju who gives her shelter and help in her
distressed state. He starts falling in love with her, marries her and
Bring her to his village. They both are very happy and the story seems
like a simple love story, but it is not so. Very soon the villagers get
to know of Bansi that she was a prostitute.

The villagers start harassing the couple and the whole village goes
against both of them making their life miserable in the village. Both
Bansi and Birju are madly in love, and they cannot do without each other.
Their love is true and at the end their love triumphs over the hatred
of the villagers.

The music for this film is rendered by Vijay Raghav Rao and the songs
from this film have really not made an impact so are not very popular
or famous. The film did not do too well generally nor at the box office.
An ordinary film that many people till date are not aware that
The Bachchans were star cast in this film,
