“The Evolution of a Bollywood Icon”
Not many people have heard of this film, Ek Nazar, starring Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, released on 18th July in 1972 and directed by B.R. Ishara. In
this film Amitabh Bachchan is a son of a wealthy man who falls in love
with a prostitute. The story revolves around the love between the two.
“A Legendary Career: Highlights and Milestones”
Raghunath Tyagi is a public prosecutor and is a wealthy man and his
Son Aakash is Amitabh Bachchan. Tyagi’s dream is to see his son Aakash
game as Aakash is not interested in law at all and turns out to become a
poet who writes poetry. That’s not all! there is a twist to the
story. One day he hears a girl singing and he falls in love with the
sweet voice. He gets to know her and she is Shabnam essayed by Jaya
Bachchan.
Father is against their relationship.
When she confronts Amina she finds her dead and Shabnam is held
responsible for the murder and is jailed. In this way there is a
disruption in the love story between Shabnam and Aakash. Raghunath a
selfish father and being the public prosecutor feels that that relationship, and she would get out of his life permanently.
The main artists in this film are Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Nadira, and Tarun Bose. Music composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal. This
film did not do too well at the box office but with this film the
Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan began their on screen chemistry and
going forward they also had an off screen and they fell in love and got
married !
