It’s a case of the admirer turning into the muse himself. Bollywood filmmakers have guided actors and superstars to get into the skin of the character. Their own talent, of course, has to be so good that they can replicate a scene for the stars to understand. Since they already know almost all the facts of movie making, acting should not really be rocket science to them! Thus, at times, filmmakers land many roles in movies because others cite their perfect looks for a particular character.
Let’s take a moment to read which filmmakers made it as successful actors.

Directors

Farah Khan

Farah Khan debuted as a director with Main Hoon Na, starring Shah Rukh Khan, which did pretty well at the box office. Her fans would never have thought that she would be in front of the screen so soon. Her film Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi, opposite Boman Irani, was quite a successful one and had the audiences in splits!

Some great story of Directors beoming Actor

Karan Johar

Although Karan Johar first made a small blink-and-miss appearance in Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, starring Kajol, he was pretty much behind the camera after that. However, when he got a rolbig-fered in a big budget period drama, Bombay Velvet, he grabbed it, but the film was a huge flop. His performance, however, was praised nonetheless. Directors

Prakash Jha

The intense drama ‘Gangaajal’ had filmmaker Prakash Jha slip effortlessly into a cop’s role for his own movie. His performance was so flawless that it was hard to tell he was a director all this while.

Farhan Akhtar

After his incredible cult movie Dil Chahta Hai, no one really knew Farhan Akhtar could sing and act. Once the audience saw what he could do in front of the camera with Rock On!, they were blown away, and Farhan never looked back. His other movies included Luck By ChanceBhaag Milkha Bhaag, and Dil Dhadakne Do, among others.Directors

Anurag Kashyap

Anurag Kashyap has directed many amazing films, including Masaan, Shaitan, Dev D, and Gangs of Wasseypur. He effortlessly transitioned to acting, appearing in Nana Patekar’s Shagird and a significant role in Akira. People applauded both his acting and movie-making skills.
