In the world of Bollywood, where awards pour down during the award
season, the National Film Award stands out as the most prestigious. At the 69th National Film Awards, Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon shared the award for Best Actress, while Allu Arjun
received the award for Best Actor. Amitabh Bachchan has won this award four
times, and Kangana Ranaut has won it three times. Kamal Hassan, Shabana Azmi,
Sridevi, Mammootty, Ajay Devgan, Priyanka Chopra, Naseeruddin Shah, and Tabu
are among the few who have had the honor of receiving this award.
However, there are some of Bollywood’s finest actors and actresses
who, despite their extraordinary contributions, haven’t received the
prestigious National Award. Here is a list of Bollywood actors and actresses
who have not yet won a glory.
Shah Rukh Khan
First on the list is Shah Rukh Khan, the king of Bollywood, who
has been in the industry for over two decades and is loved by all. Despite his
stellar performances, success, and over 200 awards, the glory isn’t on
the list. He has been nominated for the award multiple times but sadly hasn’t
received it yet.

Aamir Khan
It is hard to believe that Mr. Aamir Khan, the perfectionist, isn’t on the list.
Known for his precision, transformative roles, and films with a social message,
he has never won a National award, even after blockbusters like
“Lagaan” and “3 Idiots.”

Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone is praised for her remarkable performances in films
like “Piku” and “Bajirao Mastani.” Despite receiving many
awards and accolades, she has yet to receive a national award.

Kajol
The Queen of Romance and the King of Romance, Shah Rukh Khan, both
haven’t received the National Award. Although Kajol has received critical and
commercial success, the National Award remains elusive.

Rani Mukerji
The actress Rani Mukerji won a National Award for her contribution towards
women’s safety and child trafficking after the movie Mardaani, but she hasn’t
received one for her acting talents, earning her a spot on this list.

Ranbir Kapoor
Despite being loved by all and praised for his acting talents by
colleagues, critics, and audiences, Ranbir Kapoor has not yet received a
National Award, even after stellar performances in “Rockstar” and
“Barfi.”

Ranveer Singh
The actor was nominated for the Best Actor category at the
National Film Awards 2023 for his role in ’83. However, the award went to Allu
Arjun for his role in ‘Pushpa: The Rising.’ Here’s to hoping Ranveer Singh receives one soon.

Other noteworthy absences from the list are Nawazuddin Siddiqui,
Amrish Puri, Vinod Khanna, Dev Anand, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, and Madhubala.
These actors, although absent from the list of National Award winners, leave a
mark on the hearts of audiences. Their work serves as a reminder of their
talent that goes beyond awards. Tell us the movies you think they should have
received the National Awards for.
