Interestingly, they were initially set to work together in the 1992 film ‘Sahabzaade’, but that project didn’t materialize until much later. PK: The Untold Chapter
Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan has a great reputation for completely breaking himself for movies. The PK movie is no exception. Aamir Khan has presented himself in a total of nine different characters in the entire film. He has consumed about ten thousand paan in the entire film. In an interview, Aamir Khan said, I don’t have the habit of eating paan. I had eaten this thing only once in my life. But for every scene in the film, I had to chew paan. Sometimes I had to eat a hundred paans a day. The filmmakers added a paan hawker to the set to enhance the scene’s authenticity and realism. He would put a new paan in his mouth for every take, and before starting the shoot, he would have to eat 10-15 paans to bring out the true colour of the paan on his face and lips. Apart from chewing paan, Aamir also had to struggle a lot with the Bhojpuri language. Mr. Perfectionist learned Bhojpuri after 2 years of tireless work with the help of TV writer Shanti Bhushan.

Monali Thakur is quite popular in the Bollywood and Tollywood artist circles. This sweet-voiced singer appeared in a scene in the movie PK. In the movie, a Muslim girl is seen speaking about a fatwa to school students. She appeared on screen for a short time in the role of that girl.
How was the title chosen?
In 2011, the film’s script was initially titled ‘ Tali ‘. Rajkumar Hirani changed the title from “Ek Tha Tali” to “PK” to avoid confusion with Salman Khan’s “Ek Tha Tiger”. The paan element in PK likely adds cultural flavor and realism to the narrative. Actually, this PK is the initials of two parts of his name. Which fully means, Panmia Kushal!

PK pocketed Rs 95.5 crore in its opening weekend with a grand opening of Rs 26.5 crore in India. The movie reached the Rs 300 crore club in just three weeks. The producers sold the satellite rights of PK for a record Rs 85 crore.At that time, it was the highest price for a Bollywood film. The film’s production company had raised the price with the idea that the film could earn close to Rs 300 crore domestically. PK was a huge success abroad as well. With a gross collection of Rs 296 crore, PK’s lifetime collection from all over the world stood at Rs 770 crore. It was the first Indian film to enter the 700 crore club and the first Indian film to earn $100 million worldwide. The film won the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogue and Best Screenplay.
