After the death of his brother, Raju turns over a new leaf, regretting his wayward life and holding himself responsible for his brother’s death. He tries to make amends to lead a better life, as he has unconditional love for his sister-in-law-to-be, Suman, and because of his guilt, he wants to see her settled once again.

Unknowingly, he comes across Shankar, a wanted criminal and a lookalike of his brother Amit. He tries to play Cupid and brings them together, but Suman is not willing to accept Shankar in place of her beloved Amit. She sees no comparison between the two.
