Their clandestine meeting ends up in a police scuffle while Shoba’s cousin Kulbhushan Kharbanda, a police inspector, wants to expose their illicit relationship. Both their spouses had seen their closeness during the Holi celebrations and are aware of their extramarital affair. They both undergo a change of heart, realizing their deep attachment to their spouses and discovering they love them immensely.
The estranged couple break ties with their ex-lovers and return to their home to restart with a new beginning, thus ending the film on a happy note when Amit learns that his wife is once again pregnant with his child and they live a happily married life thereafter.
