A Gripping Murder Mystery with Stellar Performances
Alankar Chitra produced the Hindi-language suspense thriller film, and Shankar Mukherjee directed it.. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore, and Sanjeev Kumar in the pivotal roles. It also has Sulochana, Sajjan, Agha, and Bhagwan Dada in supporting roles. The music is by Kalyanji Anandji, and the film is.

The story follows a middle-class man, Rajesh, played by Bachchan Sahab. He lives with his sister and is in love with a kind-hearted woman. The two have decided to marry, but like any devoted brother, Rajesh wants to see his sister married and settled first. Tragedy strikes when someone rapes and murders his sister. The police are unable to find the killer and unable to bear this, Rajesh takes the law into his own hands, traces the murderer and kills him to avenge his sister’s death. He is now on the run from the police himself.
A Fugitive’s Redemption in a Web of Love
Rajesh, desperate to save himself from the police, seizes a young child as a hostage in a house, only to realise that Police Inspector Sanjeev Kumar—now married to his former lover, played by Sharmila Tagore—owns the home. A bullet wound leaves Rajesh gravely injured. His former lover helps him with the dressing, but keeps it a secret from her husband that the murderer is hiding in their house. She, in the meantime, tries to convince Rajesh to surrender himself and that he will get justice. But Rajesh has lost faith in the law and refuses to hand himself over.
A Fugitive’s Final Act
After several attempts to arrest him, Sanjay finally manages to capture him, and he beats him up until Mala, who has changed her name from Ash, Intervenes. Sanjay suspects Mala. Their only child goes missing, and in the scuffle, he hurts himself and needs blood. Rajesh’s blood group matches that of the child, and he donates blood to save their child.
He leaves a message for Sanjay not to suspect their relationship, and she
is as pure as ever and to accept her.
As he fled, Sanjay took pity on him and asked Rajesh to come out of his hideout.
But when Rajesh refuses, he orders Mala to bring him out. The moment he comes
