The work culture in Bollywood is such that sometimes actors have to work together for months. This is especially true in the case of foreign shoots. They frequently contact only those who are familiar to them on set… So getting closer to them is quite inevitable. Sometimes the director itself introduces new lead cast members and encourages them to get to know each other well for an easier performance, especially in the case of intimate scenes. This has caused many stars to find their true love while filming. We present some of the fairytale romances that fans just cannot get over.

Saif Ali Khan & Kareena Kapoor Khan

While filming Yash Chopra’s Tashan, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan fell head over heels in love with each other. Both had recently come out of a bad breakup and were still getting back on their emotional feet when they met each other. They dated for a few months before finally tying the knot.

Abhishek Bachchan & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

The two most famous Bollywood couples met on the set of Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke and became friends. They did many movies together, but it was only on the set of Mani Ratnam’s Guru that the couple finally confessed their love for each other.

Ajay Devgn & Kajol

The Bollywood power couple met on the set of the movie Hulchul. It was love at first sight. They did several movies thereafter and only got closer. Kajol’s father stopped talking to her for a week after she revealed her plans to marry Ajay, but eventually warmed up to the idea.

Ranveer Singh & Deepika Padukone

This good-looking couple of Bollywood were first introduced to each other by their film director, Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The latter wanted them to get to know each other better before the filming began for their film Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. Turns out the sparks flew, and the two were inseparable after that.

Kunal Khemu & Soha Ali Khan

On the sets of ‘Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge,’ Soha Ali Khan was intrigued by her serious, aloof co-star Kunal Khemu. The two then got along like a house on fire and fell in love.

Karan Singh Grover Bipasha Basu

After a bitter breakup, both Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover moved on and met each other on the sets of their horror film Alone. The couple’s love scenes in the movie were the talk of the town, but little did anyone know that they had already fallen head over heels in love with each other and soon get married.

Riteish Deshmukh & Genelia D’Souza

Known to be Bollywood’s cutest couple, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza met each other for a test shoot but barely spoke. It was only on the sets of their film Tujhe Meri Kasam that the two got close and fell deeply in love. They got married in 2012 after dating for almost 9 long years.
