Shah Rukh Khan won his first National Award for Jawan, while Vikrant Massey took home Best Actor for 12th Fail. Rani Mukherji won Best Actress for Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway
The other two big winners Vikran Massey and Rani Mukherji also have won the National Award for the first time.
Rani Mukherji dedicated her Award to the mothers around the world while Vikrant Massey dedicated his winning Award to the marginalized people in the society. Shah Rukh Khan is yet to react to his Award.

Indian Cinema’s Finest: 71st National Film Awards Winners
The team of “The Kerala Story” and “Kathal” expressed gratitude for their wins, with Yashowardhan Mishra calling the win an “incredible honor” for his debut film. Guneet Monga and co-writer Ashok Mishra also thanked Netflix India for their role in “Kathal”. Other winners included Deepak Kingrani for Best Dialogue Writing and “Parking” and “Baby” for Best Original Screenplay.
The Malayalam film Pookaalam won the Best Editing Award and Kasarla Shyam for the Best Lyrics Award for Balagam.
Honoring Excellence in Indian Cinema
The other Awards were to ‘Flowering Man’ directed by Soumyajit Ghosh Dastidar who bagged the Best Non-Feature Film Award. Piyush Thakur got the award for Best Direction Award. God Vulture and Humans got Award for the Best Documentary.
GV Prakash won the Best Music Director Award for his work on the Tamil film Vaathi, while Shilpa Rao and PVNS Rohit received the Best Playback Singer awards for their songs in Jawan and Baby.
Marathi Film Naal 2 also won the award for Best Children’s Film category. Hanu-Man bagged 2 awards for the Best Film in AVGC and for Best Action Direction for stunt choreography categories.
Among other awards at the 71st National Film Awards were 5 winners for Best Child Artists, Best Film Critic Award for an Assamese film
