Black (2005) – Bollywood

Black is a heart-touching movie of Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan. This movie is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali as it explores the character Michelle (Rani Mukerji). Here, Michelle cannot see or hear. The film shows her struggles, how she feels alone and trapped. Because she cannot communicate with others. Her teacher, Debraj Sahai, played by Amitabh Bachchan, is so strict but notably kind. He never gives up on her. He teaches her to read, write, and even speak using touch. Let me tell you that Black is a sad but so-much-inspiring film. It shows how hard work and patience can overcome the biggest challenges.

Taare Zameen Par (2007)

You will go down emotionally after watching Darsheel Safary as Ishaan. Here, in the movie, he is an 8-year-old boy who can’t read or write like other kids, and finds school very hard. His teachers call him so lazy. His parents sent him away to a strict boarding school. Then, Aamir Khan, as an art teacher, notices that Ishaan isn’t lazy, just that he has dyslexia, which makes learning difficult. Instead of scolding him, Ram helps Ishaan in special ways. The movie shows how loneliness, pressure, and one caring teacher can change a poor child’s life forever.

Is Karthik really talking to himself? Or is his mind playing tricks? The film Karthik Calling Karthik keeps you guessing till the end of the movie. It actually blurs the line between reality and imagination.

Andhadhun (2018)

Andhadhun is nothing but a mind game people usually play these days. Here, in the movie, Ayushmann Khurrana as Akash is a blind pianist who “witnesses” a murder. Yes, but he is blind! The film plays with the audience’s mind, actually with this sentence that is, Akash is really blind, or is he faking it to get saved? As lies pile up, the story gets darker, deeper, filled with twists that can leave you shocked. Here, in the movie, Anirudh, played by Sushant Singh Rajput, gets a scary call about his son, Raghav, who is in the hospital. The call informs that his son tried to end his life because he was heartbroken after failing his engineering exam. To give him hope, Anirudh tells stories from his own college fun days. This gentle, thoughtful movie shows four different people in Kolkata who all feel lonely in their own ways. A tough police officer who secretly wants love. A TV reporter who seems confident but feels empty. A busy office worker is tired of his routine life. A housewife who feels trapped in her marriage. The film doesn’t have big fights or dramatic scenes – it just shows how people in cities often feel alone even when surrounded by others, and how we all keep waiting for something better in life.

Chotushkone (2014)

Let’s watch a smart mix of psychological thriller and ghost story, Chotushkone. Four movie directors meet at a remote house to plan a film together. As they share horror stories, they want to make scary things start happening in real life. Each director has dark secrets from their past that begin to surface.
