Satte Pe Satta a 1982 film is a dual role by Amitabh Bachchan. Raj N. Sippy directed the film, Gulshan Bawra and R.D. Burman composed the music, and Romu N. Sippy produced it.
From Chaos to Change
The story, faintly inspired by the film Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, follows seven brothers who must fend for themselves after their parents pass away. Ravi Anand, the eldest, steps up to become their guardian. Ravi is in love with a nurse whom he marries and brings home. But the uncivilised brothers create a ruckus in their marriage, and she sets out to improve them and puts in all her efforts to civilise them. But their uncouth ways finally end up with them changing when they start realising it themselves.

The filmmakers shot the film in Kashmir, centring the story around a farm owned by Ravi and his seven brothers. Amitabh Bachchan plays dual roles; the eldest, and Babu, his look-alike. Babu is hired to kill wealthy Seema. He kidnaps Ravi and takes his place at the farm, where the six brothers, including Ravi, have already kidnapped Seema and other women for amusement. However, Babu falls in love with Seema instead of killing her. In the end, Ravi returns home to his wife, and with their ways now reformed, he gets all six of his brothers married. Babu and Seema find their love.

A much-loved film by the audience, a series of hilarious scenes and comedies, the film went on to become a super hit. Amitabh Bachchan in both roles as Ravi and Babu does fantastically.
