Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is a 1998 Hindi-language action comedy movie. The movie was directed by one of the ace Bollywood directors, David Dhawan. The movie was produced by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment production. The main lead of the movie featured two of the stars from the 90s, Govinda and Amitabh Bachchan. They both played double roles of police officers and thieves in Bade Miya Chhote Miya. Along with Amitabh and Govinda, the supporting cast of the movie includes Raveena Tandon, Ramya Krishnan, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Sharad Saxena, and Satish Kaushik. Madhuri Dixit also made a special appearance in Bade Miya Chote Miya with a song.

According to reports, Bade Miya Chote Miya was inspired by the Hollywood movie ‘Bad Boy,’ in which Will Smith played the lead role. However, in reality, this movie was inspired by Sanjeev Kumar’s 1982-released movie Angoor. Rumi Jaffrey was the writer of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.

Storyline of Bade Miya Chote Miya:

Talking about its story, Arjun and Pyare are two police officers working in the same police station. They unexpectedly get framed for various crimes; after investigating, they discover that the crimes have been committed by their lookalikes.

Hit Music of Bade Miya Chote Miya:

Viju Shah composed the music for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, while Sameer wrote the lyrics. The songs like ‘Kisi Disco Mein Jaaye’ and ‘Makhna’ from the movie were quite popular and hits. In a Makhna song, Madhuri Dixit danced with Big B and Govinda.

Bade Miya Chote Miya and Lal Badshah was Amitabh Bachchan’s last movie playing the lead role; then he started playing central character roles like Mohabbatein and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. Govinda’s success at the box office helped Amitabh Bachchan achieve a hit, as his previous two movies flopped. Bachchan depended on Govinda to revive his career, as his star power had waned during that period.
